Honkajoki Oy is a Finnish circular-economy company that refines animal-derived side streams from the food industry and agriculture into high-value products: protein products and fats for animal nutrition, meat-and-bone meal for fertilisers, fuel for energy production and feedstock for biofuels. The aim is to bring every component of the side streams back into circulation without losing valuable nutrients.

Ardor has completed two extensive deliveries at the Honkajoki production site: three new production lines including piping, equipment installations and steel structures, plus the piping and equipment installations at the wastewater treatment plant with the basin cover. Together they span the process from the production front end to the end of the wastewater line.

Three new production lines

Ardor delivered three new production lines for Honkajoki Oy on a turnkey basis. The scope covered piping and equipment installations together with all associated steel structures: maintenance platforms, railings, pipe bridges, equipment foundations and secondary supports.

Wastewater treatment plant

Ardor carried out the piping and equipment installations at Honkajoki's wastewater treatment plant, including the cover for the wastewater basin. The process equipment was supplied by the Dutch firm AQUA Industrial Watertreatment, with Ardor responsible for installing it as part of the integrated treatment package.

Piping installations for side-stream refining plants

Circular-economy sites are core territory for Ardor: they combine demanding process piping, hygiene requirements and varied steel structures — exactly the package Ardor delivers from a single source, from piping to maintenance platforms and equipment foundations. Side-stream refining plants demand close coordination with equipment suppliers, careful prefabrication and reliable execution alongside live production. These are strengths we have honed across years of biogas and food-industry references.

Honkajoki is also familiar territory for Ardor through the Biotehdas Oy biogas plant, where Ardor delivered the piping, equipment installations and steel structures with Watrec Oy as main contractor.
