Ardor started in 1988 as a small machine shop in Raisio. Today we're one of Finland's leading industrial piping suppliers, and we're growing fast. That isn't an accident. It's the result of the will and the nerve to do things better, more digitally and more sustainably.
Today, Ardor is home to thousands of spools, hundreds of projects, and a team that keeps growing. Piping ships from our Raisio factory to power plants, shipyards, process industries, and data centers, and our operations are certified to five international standards.
We're a meaningful part of how green transition investments succeed in Finland, and we deliver value in energy construction and shipbuilding internationally. We have the hunger to help investors and designers of projects succeed - and to do things better.
How we got here traces back to a decision in 2016. Instead of raising prices with the market, we invested in productivity. We modeled every step of pipe fabrication and built our own digital production management, because nothing suitable existed off the shelf.
The result was a radical productivity advantage. We shared it with our clients as price stability, year after year, while there was market pressure to price differently. Clients noticed. Trust built. Market share grew.
The production management we built has since grown into its own company, PipeCloud, that now serves other players in the industry too — a tool the industry needed, and others wanted.
Our roots are in demanding environments. Konepaja Sipilä & Hyvärinen started in 1988 doing welding and pipe work for industry, and the craft was built slowly, by hand. Working on heavy-industry projects, including shipbuilding, taught us what matters: tight schedules, zero tolerance for errors, and the ability to operate as part of a much larger whole.
That same hunger drove us back then. The hunger to do better.

1988
Sipilä and Hyvärinen establish a machine shop. The early years bring demanding welding and pipe work. The core of the craft is in place from the start.
2011
New owners come on board and growth accelerates. Shipbuilding and process industries become two pillars of growth. Revenue multiplies in a few years.
2016
We decide to digitalize our processes. Revenue grows substantially with the same headcount. We become the largest piping supplier to the Turku shipyard. We deliver to every Finnish shipyard and to international destinations.
2020
Ardor Oy is founded and moves into a new production facility in Raisio. The focus on industrial piping prefabrication sharpens. Every step of the work done in the factory becomes traceable and transparent.
2026
Nearly 150 professionals; operations certified to five international standards. Piping ships from our Raisio factory to power plants, shipyards, process industries, and data centers in Finland and around the world. Growth continues — and the way we work is more modern than it's ever been.
